Typically you know the color of your clothing when you buy it. But thanks to a membrane infused with a phosphorescent compound and a second with a fluorescent compound, Vollebak’s Firefly jacket changes color in response to the lighting around it, taking on copper, orange, neon green, and yellow hues as conditions change. It’s built for wear in any weather, as it’s both waterproof and windproof thanks to a 5-layer, lightweight 400-gram design with sealed seams and waterproof zips. It’s finished off with Velcro straps on the cuffs, an elasticated waist drawcord, a hidden elasticated drawcord in the hood, and two roomy side pockets with protective storm flaps.
