Unveiled in late 2021 before its release the following year, Toyota’s all-new third-generation Tundra represented a massive leap forward for the full-sized pickup that brought with it a host of advanced tech, a new hybrid powertrain option, and the best go-anywhere capabilities of any Tundra to date. And now, alongside revealing the seven different trim level options for the pickup, Toyota has also revealed an available TRD Rally Package that takes the truck’s off-roading abilities to new heights — while simultaneously brining a few style points to the table.
2025 MY Tundra Basics
For the latest model year, the Tundra is available in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, TRD Pro, and Capstone grades — each of which now comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 tech package. The two twin-turbo V6 engine options from the prior model year are carried over for 2025, though Toyota has introduced several new color options.
Powertrain Options
The 2025 model year full-sized pickup is being offered with Toyota’s twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter i-FORCE V6, or the hybrid twin-turbo 3.4-liter I-FORCE MAX six-banger — which are good for 358hp and 406ft-lbs, and 437hp and 583ft-lbs, respectively. Both engines come bolted to a ten-speed automatic transmission. What’s more, the forced induction V6 also boasts a maximum towing capacity of 12,000lbs and a 1,940-pound payload capacity.
The TRD Rally Package
Aiming to deliver an even more capable turnkey off-roader, Toyota has introduced its new TRD Rally Package for the 2025 MY Tundra. Bolstering its go-anywhere prowess is a set of 18” TRD off-road wheels shod in all-terrain tires, plus a skid plate and top-shelf Bilstein shocks. It doesn’t end there, however, as you also get an electronically-controlled locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control.
TRD Rally Pack Paint & Graphics
In addition to the performance upgrades, the TRD Rally Package also sees the Tundra benefit from a few visual upgrades. Available in Ice Cap, Magnetic Gray, Midnight Black Metallic, and Celestial Silver livery options, the TRD Rally pack features a graphics package that takes inspiration from the Japanese brand’s vintage desert racers.
This takes the form of retro-inspired red, orange and yellow stripes adorning the side of the front doors, the tailgate, and grille. The same motif is also found on the vehicle’s package-exclusive wheel caps. It doesn’t end there, though, as the interior of the TRD Rally pack-equipped Tundras also receive the same red, orange, and yellow accents on its dash and seats.
Other Novel Options For 2025
Alongside the TRD Rally Package, Toyota is offering the latest model year Tundra with a host of other optional items. This includes new available multifunction massaging front seats, an optional eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, a new power tailgate with knee lift assist, a new Tow Tech Package with an antenna and Wi-Fi trailer camera, and an available 14” touchscreen multimedia display.
