These KEF x Lotus LS60 Wireless Speakers Celebrate British Racing History

When it comes to cars, few fanbases are as die-hard, and it’s safe to say that the British are particularly fond of the scene (alongside Americans). The audio tech space has a similarly dedicated fanbase and is also home to many high-end and innovative designs. So it’s only natural that when these two industries cross over, the result is often the best of both worlds. Two British companies, KEF (a high-end audio product manufacturer) and Lotus (a legendary racing and automotive company), teamed up back in 2021 to combine KEF’s premium audio with Lotus’ powerful vehicles. Now, the team is offering up the LS60 Wireless Lotus Edition speakers, which come in British Racing Green, to celebrate the collaboration between two legendary British companies.

The British Racing Green colorway (although there isn’t a specific shade) was first seen during the 1903 Gordon Bennett Cup, where the Brits decided to paint their cars shamrock green as a gesture of thanks to the Irish for letting them race in Ireland (as it was still illegal in Britain at the time). British Racing Green plays a key part in the history of Lotus vehicles, and given the recent partnership of KEF and Lotus, this is the perfect way to honor the history of British racing while getting fans excited for the team’s future.

Making a return from the original LS60 Wireless Speaker, you’re still getting high-fidelity sound up to 384kHz, and wireless streaming capabilities so that you can utilize AirPlay and streaming services. Thanks to the myriad of connection options available (including HDMI eARC, USB A, and analog RCA), you can easily connect other devices like turntables and CD players. The sleek and slim design of the original speakers is still just as versatile, and this new colorway only enhances the style.

The KEF x Lotus LS60 Wireless Lotus Edition speaker set is available now for $8,000.
