Ford has recently rolled out a comprehensively-redesigned seventh-generation Mustang, and with the latest pony car platform comes increased performance capabilities, updated looks, and even more technology. And after nearly six decades of putting its own high-performance spin on the Blue Oval best-seller, famed tuning house and marque Shelby American has just unleashed its first-ever iteration of the all-new S650 Mustang in the form of the 2024 Super Snake. 

Using the 2024 Mustang GT as its basis, Shelby’s 401A Performance Pack features a massive slew of upgrades to the vehicle, from up-specced powertrain elements to custom bodywork to a reconfigured interior. On the outside, the Shelby Super Snake gains a widebody front fascia assembly, an aluminum Super Snake hood with carbon extractors, vented carbon fender flares, a rear ducktail spoiler, a carbon diffuser, and a carbon Super Snake rear wing. Inside, the new Super Snake gets embroidered floor mats, a Shelby shifter ball, Super Snake door sill plates, serialized dash and engine plaques, and Cobra puddle lamps.

Starting with Ford’s Gen 4 Coyote 5.0-liter motor, the new Mustang GT’s engine has been fitted with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, an engine cap set, and Shelby’s extreme cooling system upgrade. Now ejecting spent fumes via a Shelby by Borla exhaust system, this Shelby-tuned and upgrade V8 ultimately allow the Super Snake to crank out a massive 830hp or more. The thing is also offered with an automatic trasnission or an available manual gearbox with a one-piece driveshaft and a short-throw shifter. The 2024 Super Snake also benefits from an upgraded Shelby suspension system. The entire thing also rides on a set of 20” orged magnesium wheels with Shelby performance spec tires, hardened extended wheel studs, and, Shelby’s brake rotor upgrade.

Limited to only 250 units for the U.S. market, the 2024 Shelby Super Snake is available now in manual or automatic transmission and coupe or convertible versions. Pricing for the vehicle has yet to be revealed.
