Tony Stark has great taste. It turns out Robert Downey Jr. does too. At his request, Uncrate is selling three classic cars from his private collection: a 1940 Ford Woody Deluxe, “the quintessential OG SUV,” he explains, a Speedkore-customized 1974 BMW 3.0 CS Coupe, his “literal dream car,” and a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda Coupe Roadster, which he says is the “perfect date night ride, low key but still turns heads.” Owned and driven by him, these cars are more than noteworthy simply because of who rode in them. They’re low mileage, well-maintained, category-defining coupes and SUVs that kickstarted design trends and set manufacturer standards, all while being tastefully modified for the modern driver. That said, it doesn’t hurt that Downey Jr. was the one who put the miles on ’em.
