Mercedes-Benz Debuts 2025 EQS Sedan

Since its launch in 2021, Mercedes-Benz’s EQS model has been a resounding success, playing a key role in RVs now comprising almost 15% of the marque’s total sales — despite electric vehicles only constituting a small portion of its total model lineup. As the luxury EV segment continues to grow in popularity, it’s also quickly becoming increasingly competitive — a fact that’s now prompted the engineers and designers over at Mercedes-Benz HQ to return to the drawing board in order to deliver a new and improved EQS Sedan for the 2025 model year.

The 2025 model year EQS gains an impressive host of changes, both inside and out. For starters, the exterior of the car has been reworked, maintaining the prior model year’s sleek design language while sporting a few more nods to historic signature Mercedes design elements from the brand’s classic cars. This includes a new revised radiator trim, a new grille design with traditional horizontally-running flush slats, a modern take on the company’s classic wheel designs, a host of new chrome applications, and an upright star hood ornament. Offered with a wide range of  “MANUFAKTUR Selection” options, the 2025 EQS also features an even more plush cabin that can be optioned with available executive seating for an added fee. The biggest updates to the latest EQS, however, are found beneath the surface.

Thanks to a new larger battery — at 118-kWh versus the 2024 model’s 108.4-kWh cell — the latest EQS is able to deliver 11% better range, resulting in over 50 miles of extra autonomy over its 2024 model year predecessor. This means the EQS 450 4MATIC is now capable of traveling 496.5 miles between charges — a major bump over the 2024 mode’s 445-mile range — while the more premium EQS 450+ can now traverse over 500 miles per charge. Additionally, revisions to the battery and powertrain have also allowed the EQS to achieve a towing capacity of up to 3,750lbs.

Available for order starting on April 25, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan is slated to hit dealerships later this year. And while pricing has yet to be revealed, we anticipate a starting MSRP of just over the $100,000 mark.
