Originally known as the FTR 1200, Indian Motorcycle’s FTR is a V-Twin-powered sport bike that takes things in a markedly more performance-oriented direction for the brand. The immense popularity of this American-made two-wheeler has prompted America’s oldest moto marque to unleash a growing number of FTR model variants and special editions — the latest of which to break cover is the all-new Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon.
Born out of a collaboration between Indian and renowned sunglasses and goggles brand 100%, the FTR x 100% R Carbon features a slew of noteworthy upgrades over the existing FTR R Carbon. The bike boasts a headlight nacelle, mono-posto seat cowl, front fender, and a tank cover that are all crafted from exposed Blue Candy carbon fiber. Powered by the standard model’s same 120-hp 1,203cc V-Twin, the FTR x 100% R Carbon also benefits from numerous component upgrades that all come as standard, including fully-adjustable, blacked-out Öhlins suspension fore and aft, and a black-finished Titanium Akrapovič exhaust capped off with a carbon fiber heat shield. Gilles Tooling was also called on to supply the bike’s bar-end weights, oil cap, and radiator cap.
The blue carbon fiber body pieces on the bike come contrasted by an exposed chassis that’s been powder-coated in an off-white hue. Drawing inspiration from 100%’s roots in action sports, the bike also features competition-inspired branding from the various aftermarket outfits that provided componentry for this limited edition (100%, Akrapovič, Öhlins), along with red wheel accents, and “Indian x 100%” script adorning several body panels. The lean-angle-sensitive ABS, traction control, and 4” RIDE COMMAND display from the base model are also all present on the 100%-spec. A custom saddle with red accent stitching completes this limited edition package.
Limited to only 400 units globally, the 2024 Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon is slated to hit dealerships later this month. Sold with an included pair of Indian Motorcycle x 100% sunglasses, the FTR x 100% R Carbon has been priced at $18,999.
