How to Keep Your Balls Dry, Fresh, And Clean This Summer

In these hot and humid summer months, we all tend to sweat a lot. This is a natural reaction, a bodily function designed to help control your body temperature. And as the water in our sweat evaporates, it has a cooling effect on the skin. Pretty neat, right?

But while our armpits, forehead and hands are exposed to the air, thus allowing for that sweat to evaporate and provide that cooling relief, that’s not the case for our balls. Instead, our boys are trapped in our underwear, with no circulation to speak of. And this leads to swamp crotch.

As the name suggests, swamp crotch is basically the accumulation of hot, moist sweat around your genitals that pools between your legs. Eww! Sweaty balls are a perfect breeding ground for bacteria, which not only contributes to funky odors down there, but can also cause chafing, irritation and itchiness, not to mention potential bacterial and fungal infections.

While antiperspirants and such exist to keep our underarm sweat in check, the same can’t be said for our crown jewels. So what can you do to prevent sweaty balls? Here are the best ways to keep your balls dry, fresh and clean:

1) Keep Your Body Hair Trim “Down There”

You might not realize it, but a lot of moisture gets trapped in your pubic hair, which turns into a breeding ground for odor-causing bacteria, not to mention chafing, irritation and itchiness. The easy solution? Trim your bush to a desirable length (or shave it completely bare), thereby keeping the moisture at bay.

Don’t just use any old trimmer to get the job done though. The Happy Nuts Ballber Pro nut + body trimmer is specifically designed for use below the belt, and it’ll make short work of your man bush and ball hair while keeping your privates safe and sound. Women also prefer a nicely trimmed area, so that’s an added bonus.

2) Shower Thoroughly And Really Wash Your Balls

Hopefully you’re showering at least once a day (though if I’m going out on a date, I will shower beforehand so I’m smelling nice and fresh), but that alone isn’t enough. Make sure to give your boys some extra attention, really getting in there with a natural soap like Happy Nuts Body & Nut Wash, which not only deeply cleanses with a creamy rich lather, but leaving your skin soft, smooth, moisturized, and conditioned.

3) Wait Between Showering And Dressing

After toweling off, wait a few minutes before getting dressed. This gives your body time to fully air dry, as you don’t want to start the day with damp nuts in a pair of underwear, that’s just a recipe for disaster. In that same vein, opt for clean, breathable underwear that allow for some air circulation, either a moisture-wicking microfiber or cotton-polyester blend. Avoid 100% cotton underwear, as they tend to absorb and hold sweat.

4) Apply A Lotion To Absorb Sweat & Prevent Chafing

Happy Nuts Comfort Cream

Happy Nuts Comfort Cream applies as a lotion and dries as a powder to absorb your sweat and create an anti-friction layer, all while keeping you smelling like you just got out of the shower, even if you didn’t. Apply it in the morning to experience all day long comfort and protection against odors, sweat, and chafing. Formulated with aloe, it’ll also soothe the area and provide healing effects to any existing chafing, itching, or irritation.

Hopefully these tips will help keep your balls dry, fresh, and clean this summer. Because let’s face it, sweaty balls and the grossness that comes with it is no fun at all. But with just a little preparation each morning, you can de-funk your junk for good and feel like a million bucks.
