Edward Norton moonlights as a model for his latest work. The 53-year-old actor and director partners with Kith and BMW for a new advertising campaign. Norton is the face of Kith’s collaboration with BMW. The Kith for BMW Chapter II collaboration commemorates two 50-year milestone anniversaries for the luxury automobile manufacturer: its first electric concept car and the introduction of the BMW M.
Considering BMW’s 2022 anniversaries, Kith founder Ronnie Fieg collaborates with the automaker to produce two automobiles, one historical and the other contemporary. The new 2022 BMW i4 M50 by Kith is restricted to seven public units, one of which will be auctioned off at Sothebys.com/KithforBMW on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 am E.S.T. with a starting bid of $1. The auction will conclude on October 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm EDT. The Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust will receive 10% of the proceeds.
In 1972, BMW converted two 1602s into electric vehicles in honor of the Olympic Games in Munich. One of Kith’s two vehicles was inspired by BMW’s initial forays into electromobility. Ronnie Fieg collaborates with BMW to rebuild and modify his personal 1-of-1 1602, transforming it into a fully electric vehicle with unique designs, including a caramel-colored full-grain merino leather interior and a green paint color entitled “Vitality Green by Kith.”
The custom “Vitality Green by Kith,” extends to a collection of apparel and accessories for the Kith for BMW Chapter II collection. The 51-piece collection features Kith mainstays with BMW-inspired updates. Outerwear must-haves include Italian leather and Manteco wool. Additional staples range from a variety of knitwear to heavyweight fleece sweatsuits. The collection debuts globally on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 am E.S.T. in all Kith stores and on Kith.com, following an in-store debut in Paris.
