BMW’s Neue Klasse line of sedans and coupes in the 1960s would not just save the company from going under — the Neue Klasse would be the blueprint for BMW for over 40 years, leading to all-time classics like the 2002 and defining what BMW meant to the motoring world. Taking inspiration from that past, BMW’s Vision Neue Klasse kicked off with a Vision sedan concept and now has an X SUV model. While a concept, the Vision Neue Class X will go into production in 2025 as the iX3. BMW states the concept is very close to the production model, with a headlight treatment similar to the Vision sedan and a narrow twin-kidney grille taken from the 2002. The new iX3 will have 30 percent more range when it begins production in 2025 as a 2026 model.
