Back in January, the outdoor label Woolrich announced plans to collaborate with fellow American designer Todd Snyder, for the first time, on its Black Label collection for Fall/Winter 2024. Well, that time is now here and we’re now able to explore all the collection has to offer, which is a lot. 

Quite a Large Collection

Composed of 65 pieces, many of which in a handful of colorways, the FW24 Black Label runs the gamut from bags to outerwear to accessories, all with the intention of making the wintertime more endurable. As a whole, the range seems to focus on luxe materials in a fashion-forward package, but with some outdoor utility in mind. While the collection offers up tons of style and performance — and lots of plaid — we do have a few favorites in mind. 

A Little Bit of Everything

If carrying options are what you’re after, you can look at the Sling Bag or Backpack, both of which utilize X-Pac construction, which is a nylon material used in sailing cloth. There’s also a Tech Tote in black or camel colorways.

The more luxurious offerings consist of the $328 Quilten Pant, which looks as premium as it sounds, featuring vintage-inspired onion stitching filled with polyester synthetic down inside of a nylon shell. For the ultimate outer coat, there’s also a Quilted Sherpa-Lined Long Jacket with a similar onion stitching but using sherpa-lined fabric that comes from Italy’s iconic Olmetex mill. This knee-length jacket is easily the most expensive piece in this collection at about $1,500. There’s also a straight-stitched version in both plaid and birch tree patterns, and featuring actual down insulation.

Some other highlights include the Quilted Sherpa-Lined Vest, which Todd Snyder uses in a lot of its lifestyle shots for other pieces, perhaps because of its versatility. It can be worn under the Long Jackets above or over, say, the ‘80s/’90s-inspired Luxe Tech Hoodie.

I’m personally a big fan of the sweaters included in the collection, such as the super classy Handknit Crewneck, the funkified Deer Sweater, and the conversation starter that is the Scenic Mohair Crewneck. If you have the money, simply any of the items in this premium collection will give you some extra style this winter season.
