1976 Jaguar XJC 4.2 Coupe

Jaguar has a back catalog of cars that only a very few manufacturers can match in terms of beauty. The Jaguar XJ built on the Mark X, using that car’s IRS unit and subframe-mounted independent front suspension first seen on the Mark 1. The XJC was the two-door coupe version of the XJ, and arguably the best looking the saloon’s lines fit were made even better with two fewer doors. Only 10,426 were built over the XJC’s three-year production run, with the example here being an automatic 4.2-liter inline-six model — the 5.3-liter V12 and a manual transmission were also offered. This survivor has been recently gone through and has largely avoided the ravages of time. It will go to auction via Bonhams online this November.
