Unlike golf clubs, golf balls tend not to get a yearly update. TaylorMade’s 2024 lineup of TP5 & TP5x balls are the first major updates for both since 2021. The most notable improvement is a first-of-its-kind Speed Wrapped Core that helps optimize the stiffness between the 5-layer design, resulting in a softer sound, improved feel, and faster construction. Both models offer decreased spin on long shots compared to the prior generation; the TP5 generates more spin on wedge shots, while the TP5x has a flatter trajectory with less spin on drives and long iron shots. Also improved is the graphic of the pix models, which switches from a triangle to a diamond shape for even easier alignment and tracking. The new collection is available now.
